What are Qualified Elevator Inspectors (QEI)
A QEI inspector is an individual has met the stringent
qualifications to provide a certified inspections of specific types of
passenger conveyances as designated by the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers (ASME) . Metro Elevator employs several
Qualified Elevator Inspectors (QEI) right here in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
Unlike most
certifications for a specific trade, many of our elevator service
competitors do not employ licensed elevator mechanics that are also QEI certified. To be fair,
there is no requirement for an elevator mechanic to be QEI certified,
but it does indicate you are getting one of the best mechanics possible
when they are QEI certified. Over 50% of all Metro Elevator
mechanics are QEI certified.
